THE STORY

Born across the hall.

VVW Aesthetics began, as many of the best things do, with a problem worth solving.

Dr. Troy Ogden has practiced optometry in Reno and Carson City for years through Downtown Vision. In 2023, he opened a Dry Eye Spa within the practice—one of the first of its kind in the region—using radiofrequency and intense pulsed light therapy to treat patients with chronic dry eye disease. The results were transformative. And patients noticed something else: their skin looked different. Better. Tighter. More alive.

More patients began asking for the treatments not just for their eyes, but for themselves—their faces, their confidence, their reflection in the mirror. Troy could see what they needed. He had the technology. He had the clinical precision. What he didn’t have, under Nevada’s optometric scope of practice, was the legal authority to provide it.

So rather than turn them away, he and his wife, co-founder Terri Ogden, did what they do: they built the thing that was missing.

Across the hall from the Reno Downtown Vision office—a space that would take months of construction, permitting, and the particular kind of patience that comes from believing in something—Vision, Vitality & Wellness was incorporated in January 2025. The team was assembled: a medical director, an advanced aesthetician, and a business operations manager. The products were curated, tested, and approved by the people who would recommend them. And in May 2026, VVW Aesthetics opened its doors.

The name was shortened. The principles didn’t. Every decision made in that space still answers to the same three words: Vision. Vitality. Wellness.

THE PHILOSOPHY

Everything we do at VVW Aesthetics is intentional. That word carries weight here. It means we begin before you arrive.

Before your first visit, we send you an intake form—not a medical checklist, but a genuine conversation starter. We ask what you love about yourself. What you’d like to enhance. How do you see your own reflection? Because our goal is never to change you. It is to reveal more of you—to enhance what you already possess, to slow what time takes gradually, and to give you the tools to feel as good as you look.

We call this the difference between changing and enhancing. Between altering and honoring. We practice prejuvenation and rejuvenation—a clinical commitment to supporting your skin’s future as well as its present—but always in service of you looking and feeling genuinely good about yourself. Not a different version of yourself. You, at your best.

When you walk through our door, you are welcomed into a space designed with the same intention as our care: calm, unhurried, and considered. Fresh flowers. A signature scent. A cappuccino or a cup of tea, made for you by one of us.

Your first appointment begins with Aura—our Swiss-made 3D imaging system that creates a photo-realistic digital twin of your face and neck, revealing in precise detail what the eye alone cannot see. From there, you meet with our medical director or our advanced aesthetician to review your results, discuss your goals, and build a personalized aesthetic roadmap together. Not a sales menu. A plan—built around you, adjusted over time, executed at your pace.

We will never perform a procedure we believe is inappropriate for you. We will never recommend a treatment because it is available; we will only recommend it because it is right. And we will never leave you without the knowledge to understand exactly what we’re doing, why, and what to expect. Education is not a courtesy here. It is part of the care.

Because aesthetics is not a one-and-done. It is a relationship between you and your skin, and between you and the people who care for it. We are here for the long arc of that journey.
